Finding Your Inner Happiness

Lately, I’ve been thinking about what it really means to be happy — not the kind of happy that comes and goes with the day, but that deep, steady joy that lives within you no matter what’s happening around you.

For a long time, I thought happiness was something I had to find — in success, in how busy I stayed, or even in making sure everyone else was taken care of before myself. But as I’ve grown — as a wife, a mom of three, a creator, and a believer — I’ve learned that true happiness isn’t something we chase, it’s something we choose.

When we slow down long enough to listen to our hearts, we realize that joy often comes from the simplest things — the smell of cookies baking in the oven, a thrifted treasure that feels like it found you, a quiet morning with coffee and your Bible, or laughter echoing through your home. These are the golden moments that remind us of who we are and what truly matters.

Finding your inner happiness means giving yourself permission to be still, to appreciate the beauty of ordinary days, and to create a life that reflects the things that fill your soul. It’s in gratitude, in faith, in choosing peace over perfection, and in remembering that your light — no matter how small it feels some days — was meant to shine.

My hope is that The Golden Nook can be a little reminder of that. That through handmade things, home-baked warmth, and simple inspiration, you can reconnect with your own inner joy and carry that glow wherever you go.

With love,
Dallas
