Living in the Midst of Your Testimony

“Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

— Philippians 1:6 (NIV)

Sometimes we talk about our testimonies as if they’ve already been neatly wrapped up — as if they’re a finished story we tell once the hard part is over. But what about the middle? What about when the prayers haven’t been answered yet, the healing is still happening, and the lesson is still unfolding? That’s where most of us live — right in the middle of our testimony.

The middle can feel messy. It’s full of questions, setbacks, and moments that make you wonder if God really sees you. It’s the space between what was and what will be — a sacred in-between where faith has to speak louder than fear. You might not have the ending yet, but that doesn’t mean your story isn’t already powerful.

God doesn’t just dwell in the victory; He dwells in the waiting. He is present in the tears you wipe away after praying for the same thing over and over. He is near when you choose to praise Him even while your heart aches. This season — this uncertain, uncomfortable middle — is where your roots of faith grow deepest.

Sometimes, we think we have to wait until things make sense before we can share what God is doing. But there is beauty in letting others see your journey in real time. When you live out your testimony instead of waiting to tell it, you invite others to see God’s faithfulness as it unfolds. You show that faith isn’t about perfection — it’s about perseverance.

Maybe you’re still walking through a valley. Maybe you’re still praying for the breakthrough, the healing, the restoration, the peace. Don’t let that make you think your story is on pause. The middle chapters are just as meaningful as the ending ones. In fact, they’re often where God’s hand is most evident, if you look closely.

When you live in the midst of your testimony, you begin to see purpose in the process. You notice how God strengthens your patience, softens your heart, and teaches you to depend on Him for daily grace. You realize that even if the outcome looks different than what you prayed for, He’s still writing something beautiful.

It’s not easy to praise Him in the hallway when every door feels closed, but that’s where true worship begins — when you choose to trust without seeing. That’s where your testimony becomes real, alive, and relatable. Because someone else might be watching you, needing the hope you’re holding onto.

So if you’re still in the middle, don’t hide your story. Don’t wait until everything is “fixed.” God’s glory is not limited to the ending; it shines through every chapter. Keep walking, keep believing, and keep trusting that He’s not finished yet.

One day, you’ll look back and see that this very season — the one that felt uncertain and unfinished — was the heart of your testimony all along.
